Franklin ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Franklin app.

We may collect the following categories of information:

1. Contact Information – Your name and email address when you choose to provide them (e.g., during sign-up or profile editing).

2. Identifiers – An internally-generated User ID that links your data to your account.

3. Gameplay Content – Cards you create, study progress, answers, decks, and notes you enter in the app.

4. Usage Data – Product-interaction data such as screens visited, taps, time spent, and feature usage.

5. Diagnostics Data

- Crash Data – Crash logs automatically generated if the app closes unexpectedly.

- Performance Data – App performance metrics (e.g., loading times, API latency).

2. How We Use Your Information
We only process your data for the following purposes:
• App Functionality – To let you sign in, save decks, sync progress across devices, and restore purchases.
• Product Personalization – To suggest decks, schedule reviews, and tailor learning paths.
• Analytics – To understand feature usage and improve stability and performance.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in the EU and the US. Access is limited to authorized personnel. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest for sensitive fields and follow industry best practices to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services
We rely on privacy-focused service providers that process data solely on our behalf:
OVH, Hosting and database (PostgreSQL): Primary database handling Contact Information, Identifiers, Gameplay Content- Sentry: Crash & performance monitoring handling Crash Data, Performance Data- Logsnag: Aggregated, privacy-first analytics handling Usage Data
These providers cannot use your data for their own marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights
At any time, you may:
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export your decks and progress.
• Object to certain processing activities.

6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account remains active. If you delete your account, all personally identifiable data is erased within 30 days. Aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you may be kept indefinitely.

Franklin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app and on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top will always indicate the most recent version.
